Software Development Engineer- iOS

Overview

As a Software Development Engineer, you’ll support the Dev Teams working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, delivering best-of-class software for our customers to use on their mobile devices; changing the way they interact with their finances.

With excellent programming skills in a couple of languages and extensive commercial experience developing software for the iOS platform (Swift/Objective-C) - in an Agile environment - you’ll be collaborating with product owners and designers on feature development, as well as mentoring other engineers and advising managers.

Tools like Xcode, XCTest, OCMock/OCMockito, Jenkins and Git are second nature to you. A working knowledge of UI test automation frameworks is a big plus.

Main Responsibilities

- Coach and mentor a multi-discipline team

- Collaborating with Product Managers & Designers across the business

- Highly technical, a key influencer of team software architecture

- Makes technical trade-offs between short term team needs and long term business needs

Skills & Requirements

- Excellent programming skills in a multiple languages including Swift and Objective-C

- Proven ability to deliver enterprise iOS applications in an Agile environment

- Extensive commercial experience collaborating with Product Owners and designers

- Knowledge of modern iOS technologies like Xcode, XCTest, OCMock/OCMockito, Jenkins and Git

- Strong design, analytical and problem solving skills

Beneficial Experience

-Experience of working within an Enterprise environment

-Provable past examples of working with, and developing against, AWS architecture

-A working knowledge of UI test automation framework

-This is a technical leadership role and doesn’t involve any line management.
