We are recruiting a Highway Asset Officer based in Devon Highways, Ivybridge Depot, Ermington Rd, Ivybridge, Devon, PL21 9ES.

The role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon’s highway assets.

The role involves the following tasks:

Assist with the quantification of work programmes for highway maintenance and highway structural maintenance (HSM) projects

Assist with auditing highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications

Monitor allocated schemes and programmes; reporting on physical and financial progress

apply a working knowledge of appropriate highway policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of technical developments and good working practice.

You are required to have an HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent and /or ability to demonstrate ability to demonstrate proficiency in commissioning work and auditing of a highway term maintenance contract and other forms of highway contract.
