We’re looking for a Systems Project Manager, based in our Supply Chain and Logistics team in York, to support our supply chain systems and processes effectively across Nestle UK and affiliates.

What can you expect?

As Systems Project Manager, your primary focus will be to develop and support Atlas, our in house developed Transport Management System and how it interfaces with other related system like warehouse management systems and e-commerce.

Reporting to the Head of Materials Handling, you will be responsible for scoping requests from users for new functionality, undertaking analysis, developing code which meets the requirements, testing and implementation. You will also be required to leading the systems streams for relevant projects. You will use project management tools to manage these changes.

You will manage interaction and integration with other project and support teams and provide ad-hoc reporting when needed.

In addition to the above as part of a team of five you will be responsible for first line day to day support of local systems which support the transport team, the distribution centres. It is a requirement that you can provide out of hours support for local Logistics systems (1 week in every 4 which will be compensated).

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this opportunity, we’re looking for Computer Programmers with excellent communication skills and the following experience:

Ideally of Graduate calibre (or equivalent) in Computer Science you will have strong knowledge in computer programming particularly SQL, C# and/or VB.NET.

Experience of leading projects across cross-functional teams

Web development knowledge and experience with Oracle

An understanding of warehouse and distribution procedures in a corporate environment will be a bonus.
