Through research, standards and analysis, RSSB supports the rail industry in driving improvements in health and wellbeing and delivering a safer, more efficient and sustainable rail system. Within RSSB, the Digital team is responsible for developing the digital strategy, driving digital engagement and overseeing the transformation of RSSB’s digital assets.

We are now seeking a User Experience Analyst to help us take the next steps in delivering a first-class user experience across our sites, apps and tools.

We are now seeking a User Experience Analyst to help us take the next steps in delivering a first-class user experience across our sites, apps and tools.

What you’ll be doing...

Managing the user experience components of RSSB projects. Conducting user research, understanding user needs and running sessions to elicit feedback on ideas and designs. Carrying out wire-framing, prototyping and UX/UI design. Overseeing user acceptance testing. Creating testing plans and managing test execution Assisting with our wider digital engagement activities, including setting up web analytics, managing web content, creating test scripts and carrying out functional testing.

What we’re looking for...

Visual design skills with experience of producing user-centred interface designs. Experience of working on responsive web design across a range of devices, ideally with experience of subscription / ecommerce platforms. Experience in researching users, including surveys, focus groups and workshops. Experience in planning and conducting usability testing. Good working knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. SharePoint knowledge is useful. A willingness to assist with our wider digital delivery, ranging from functional testing to content management. A willingness to learn about RSSB, our members and our industry.
