Technical Architect - South West

£75-95k + excellent benefits

We have a new permanent vacancy for a Technical Architect to work for a leading provider of business transformation services.

The Technical Architect will be coding in groups or pairs, leading teams of Developers & Testers, designing and delivering solution concepts and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Below is what we are looking for:

* Demonstrable knowledge of coding in multiple programming languages (.Net, Java, Ruby etc.)

* Experience taking ultimate responsibility for designing and delivering one or more large scale solutions, understanding the various cross-cutting concerns such as security, performance and quality.

* Organised and led a team of at least three others. Experience of running multiple teams concurrently is highly desirable.

* Ability to provide clear rationalisations to technical decisions in a format that both technical and non-technical people are able to understand.

* Experience architecting solutions, including creating architectural artefacts, such as high-level designs, disaster recovery plans and support documentation.

* A rigorous understanding of automated testing, including Outside-In BDD and TDD.

* Working knowledge of multiple storage technologies such as SQL and No-SQL.

* Understanding and experience of Cloud computing and virtualisation
