We are looking for bright and ambitious graduates and apprentices who want to develop into solution architects. We will train and develop you, give you experience of working with our fantastic clients, and carefully manage your progress over an 18 month to 2 year period, so that you emerge ready to take on your next challenge!
To be a successful solution architect you have to be passionate about technology and its application to business scenarios, be completely obsessed with helping clients and brilliant at working in a team. Our solution architects are trusted advisors to our clients and can build solutions on a range of platforms including AWS, Azure and private cloud, as well as understanding and implementing core IT concepts like storage, networking and security solutions.
This role sits at the heart of the SA team, working closely with experienced SAs, helping document, design and update solutions. In the first 12 months we will train you up on the core concepts with both formal training and hands on experience and you will work closely with 3-4 SAs helping them efficiently build client solutions. Your role will be to ensure we capture the solutions into our well defined processes, deliver pricing to our clients, and build solutions yourself for some of the simpler scenarios. As you mature in the role we will give you experience of working directly with clients, with the right level of support, and enhancing your technical skillsets.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with a small number of senior solution architects and help accelerate building and document solutions - be the trusted ‘pair of hands' in the office to ensure we accurately and professionally document the proposed solutions based on client requirementsWork within our pricing tools to ensure accurate pricing models prepared for the solution architects to position to our clientsLearn to take full responsibility for simple solution requests from clients and interface with the projects and engineering teams to scope & price them and hand over for implementationProvide advice on process and tool improvements to ensure we continue to optimize the end to end processesWork with our subject matter experts to help answer questions about or services and capabilities so that the designs follow best practiceEngage with the delivery teams to ensure that designs are understood and implemented in the way our clients expectLearn - increase your knowledge of Ensono's services, AWS, Azure and Solution Architecture so that you can add value to the team
Knowledge & experienceWe will expect a high level of passion for enterprise IT solutions & architecture even if you don't have much experienceExperience (experimenting or in a prior role) with AWS and Azure for example would be usefulUnderstanding of the core concepts behind enterprise storage, networking and security would be an advantageUniversity level degree in computing or computer science desirable but not essential
