We have a new exciting opening for a Solutions Architect, to drive Law Business Research’s digital content platforms and publishing systems from the technical perspective. Responsibilities include analysis, specification, planning, delivery management, testing, deployment and on-going support. This will extend from delivering state of the art publishing and analytics technology, while ensuring easy integration of new businesses onto our platforms.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will work closely with Development teams and designers to architect and deliver technical specifications detailing dependencies, development tasks, planning and overall project timelines. You will also work with business stakeholders to help define product strategy and act as a technical liaison to external partners for the delivery of solutions along with maintenance and integration of 3rd party applications and systems.

Your diplomatic "can-do" attitude will see you effectively manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus customer benefit whilst taking full responsibility for the detailed functional requirements, collaborating closely with UI Designers and Software Engineers.

Requirements

Strong technical knowledge is essential for this role and we would expect you to have an excellent understanding of at least 4 of the following:

-JavaScript (including frameworks and libraries),

-XML

-XML repositories

-HTML

-XHTML,

-XSLT

-ColdFusion

-RoR

-PHP,

-Perl

-Linux/Unix systems

-Content Management Systems.

In addition to experience of working with SQL, MS SQL and web analytics.

Proven project management experience (Prince2/IPMA) with at least 10-enterprise level web application launches under your belt and the ability to create cost/benefit analyses for new technologies. A natural communicator both written and verbal, we will expect you to have the ability to build relationships at all levels and work with a high level of confidentiality.
