Distilling Knowledge from the Noise

Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Linux based server and storage infrastructure and providing recommendations for the design and implementation of new projects. Ensuring that the IT environment meets both the availability and the capacity needs of the business.

Key Technical Responsibilities

- Production support: Centos / FreeBSD / Mysql Percona Cluster / Synfony / Nginx / Dockers / KVM

- Project support: DevOps / Puppet

Essential Skills

- Extensive experience working with Linux & Unix Systems. Ideally Red Hat / Centos / FreeBSD

- Supporting large MySQL databases with the ability to write SQL queries.

- Excellent knowledge of Bash

- Excellent knowledge of at least one language PHP, Perl or Python.

- Extensive REGEX knowledge

Desirable Skills

- Excellent network knowledge

- Web routing/proxy technologies (Niginx / HA Proxy)
