They do this by building intelligent technology to recruit, train and qualify a global community of teachers, making effective one-to-one learning more accessible than ever before.

They are seeking experienced JavaScript developers with front, back or full stack experience to work on a wide range of exciting and technically challenging projects - established and greenfield. You will join their rapidly expanding development team, work in an autonomous squad with the chance to significantly influence technology, framework and processes.

Today they use a wide range of technologies, spanning Ruby, JavaScript, Elixir, MySQL, WebRTC, built in an agile Scrum style on a service-based architecture, using CI, GitFlow, AWS, Docker, and advanced ops / infrastructure management and instrumentation. They are expanding focus on tablet and mobiles, so knowledge of responsive and hybrid frameworks is also valuable.

Experience of these will be a great bonus, but they ultimately value individuals that can have the confidence to take decisions and determination to deliver excellent technical solutions.

Projects include a sophisticated searchable content library, refactoring and enhancing their interactive classroom and building powerful reporting and visualization tools.

- 2+ years of real world web development, ideally on large scale consumer facing applications

- Deep understanding of Javascript - benefits, limits and quirks

- Exposure to one or more major JS frameworks for frontend (React, Angular etc) or backend/fullstack (Node, Express etc)

- Experience of building re-usable, flexible code and libraries, using agile TDD/BDD approach

- Hands of experience of agile development processes and tools
