You’ll help us to make better use of it, so we can deliver more for our customers.

As Senior Development Manager you’ll lead a development team of up to 50 people, all experts in data transformation and ETL. Under your direction, they will turn solution designs into fully-built solutions through Agile sprints - from development, to test, release and roll-out.

Developing a set of strategic capabilities, you will never lose sight of the need to deliver value early. Carefully balancing the commercial needs of the business, you’ll establish a good pace of delivery without sacrificing architectural integrity. A champion of timely and cost effective solutions development, you will make sure the team does not leave large amounts of architectural debt.

With a far-reaching remit, you’ll work on projects across the organisation, focussing on everything from what stock to put in stores, to the fleet that delivers it. Every solution will create data capabilities that put the customer at the heart of what we do. The range of technologies you work with will be just as diverse - from leading edge big data and open source capabilities, to traditional databases and operational data stores. Digital submissions will include tagging and tracking and online analysis. Toolsets and data development capabilities will span all kinds of technologies.

To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need a perfect blend of technical knowledge and leadership skills. You have taken the lead on data development in large complex, organisations across a range of toolsets. You are used to managing large development teams with both permanent and contracted staff. This has given you a proven ability to establish a direction and set up delivery processes, standards and principles. Crucially, you have the confidence and credibility to gain the

respect of highly technical people and put in place an efficient, cost effective, delivery function delivering strong speed to market.
