ESG is the UK’s leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services. We now need to add a Web Application Developer to our growing IT team who’ll be equipped with the latest technology and given outstanding training. As our people are the foundation of our business, we invest in them to make sure we stay at the forefront of our field.

Your challenge

This is an opportunity to design, develop and deliver a range of web-based solutions to be used across ESG. Every day, you’ll be creating and managing web services, assisting with mobile application design, plus reviewing legacy systems and managing underlying databases. Your expertise can make a real impact - with new and improved applications, we can make ESG an even better business.

Your profile

With solid experience and a can-do attitude, you’ll be ready to create and deploy a range of web applications. In the past, you’ve worked with Java, J2EE, HTML, XML and Javascript, and you’re also up-to-speed with web services, UI and mobile app development. Your technical expertise is based on good data analysis skills and a relevant degree (or equivalent) - for example, Computer Science or Software Engineering. Along with this, you bring a professional, creative and organised approach. Good with people and commercially aware, you’re comfortable working independently or as part of a larger team. You’ll also have a full driving licence and be prepared to travel to other UK sites when required.

Please note that this role may require Security Clearance.
