IT Security Engineer

We are seeking an IT Security Engineer (network infrastructure) to join this UK-leading and fast-growing Tech Company. Based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire (just north of London), your role will be part of a growing team that focus on companywide IT security, alongside including carrying out specific projects and security campaigns.

Utilising your proven commercial experience within IT Security, your role will be crucial to evaluating the company's security architecture and driving forward solutions by implementing a range of appropriate applications.

Your role will be visible across the entire business, and you will run campaigns aimed to educate the wider business on IT security best-practice.

Skills and experience required for the IT Security Engineer:

* Commercial experience within an IT security role, with a specific focus on network infrastructure

* Experience of working with and implementing security applications is key

* Technical knowledge with Windows, Linux and Mac OS would be preferred

* Strong understanding of networking concepts and security protection systems & methods

* Any relevant certifications would be preferred (although not essentials), such as CEH or CCNA

* Excellent organization skills with a self-motivated, proactive attitude

* Able to work on multiple activities and projects at any one time, within a fast-paced and ever changing environment

* 2.1 technical / IT security degree would be preferred

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
