Graduate eLearning Developer

The aim of the eLearning developer is to work under the supervision of the eLearning Co-ordinator to facilitate the creation of high quality eLearning courses which are sold to clients nationwide. The post holder will be expected to plan and create eLearning content as directed but also to contribute their skills and knowledge to the wider aims of the organisation.

This role will require the post holder liaises and works closely with staff across all of our sites, therefore the ability to travel is essential.

Responsibilities

The eLearning Developer will be responsible for:

Designing and creating engaging, effective e-learning courses. This includes creating SCORM content using storyline and other e-learning tools; building quizzes and interactivity; audio recording; testing of courses prior to their release; uploading courses in to the VLE; maintenance and refreshing of content in existing e-learning courses.

Reports the status of projects to the eLearning Coordinator.

Work with the eLearning Co-ordinator to develop release and development timelines.

Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of SCORM technologies

Excellent skills in Rapid Authoring tools such as Storyline or Adobe Captivate

Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)

Excellent English language oral and written communication skills

High degree of proficiency with the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, After Effects)

Understanding of Moodle or any other VLE

Fluent in Microsoft office applications

Understanding of learning theories and pedagogy for both children and adults

Education and Personal Skills

Degree in relevant subject or 2 years+ experience as an eLearning Developer

Strong problem solving and critical thinking

Ability to work without constant supervision

Ability to plan and run a full QA schedule

Holds a valid driving license

Passionate about creating great interactive learning

A keen interest in all learning technologies

Desired

Experience with Moodle 2.X

Foreign language skills

Strong design skills
