Thomas’s London Day Schools are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated IT Data Specialist to join our IT Data and Systems team.
This technical role is to assist the Head of IT Data and Systems with the daily running of all Thomas’s data systems and interfaces. You will provide support for our MIS database, Communication tools, Learning Platform and Parents area. Programming experience and knowledge of SQL, T-SQL and Microsoft Reporting Services is desired.
The position will serve our group of schools located in Battersea, Clapham, Fulham and Kensington, with an office location at Red Lion Square IT Offices, SW18 4LS.

The IT Data Specialist will work closely with and report to the Head of IT Data and Systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assisting with the daily running of our data and systems - in particular our Management Information System (iSAMS) and the iSAMS SQL database
importing data into iSAMS, manipulating this data and data already in iSAMS to meet our needs
Knowledge and previous experience writing T-SQL code and using it within Stored Procedures
Assisting with the writing of custom reports using iSAMS and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Assisting with the development access to MIS data via API’s and SQL coding for internal web systems
Creating of detailed reports by manipulating complex data from iSAMS
Providing systems support and training to staff as needed for our systems
Assisting with the administration of the Thomas’s Learning Platform and Parents Area.
Assisting with the administration of the Thomas’s communication tools.
Assisting with the administration of the integration between all systems and interfaces.
Strong communication skills are essential to this role as staff training will be a requirement.
Desired skills and experience
Computer Science, IT, Computer Software degree
Previous database work experience
Familiarity with SQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Working independently
Meeting deadlines
Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communications
Customer service
Attention to detail
Team player who can work independently
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Use of Google Apps
