The University of Brighton has been using Sharepoint for intranet services since 2012. We have an estate of over 4 million documents in 350 databases. Now we need your Sharepoint systems administration skills to help us take it to the next level. With an upgrade to Sharepoint 2016 in the offing, new virtual infrastructure to underpin the service and some content moving to Office 365 you won't be short of challenges for a while if you take on this role.
You will be working with other technical specialists in our IT Services and Portal Services teams keeping Sharepoint at peak health in terms of performance, reliability, maintenance, backup, recovery, and business continuity. Your particular focus will be on the database and server layers so you will need to be experienced with SQL Server 2012 and 2016, and Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012 administration in a Sharepoint environment. Relevant IIS and Powershell experience would be an advantage, as would Office 365 integration.
