Responsibilities

We have an exciting, new opportunity to join us as a Wholesale Settlement & Reconciliation Manager. You will be part of a dynamic new team, created directly to respond to regulatory changes as a result of Market Reform, with the objective of providing an industry leading wholesale service proposition. This is a permanent role that will operate pre and post market opening, helping us achieve our desired state.

The Wholesale Settlement & Reconciliation Manager support the development, implementation and operation of the Anglian Water Services (AWS) Wholesale charges, settlement, reconciliation and billing strategy for the non-household market opening in April 2017 worth circa £230m p.a.

Working across a number of key teams including Income & Tariffs and Finance, you will be responsible for the creation of business processes and systems that ensures AWS is compliant with market obligations for settlement, reconciliation and invoicing Retailers for both primary and non-primary charges. In addition you will develop a suite of measures that monitors settlement performance and identifies any risks to wholesale income and changes to cash flow forecasts.

Requirements

This is a high profile opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our wholesale service. This role requires an individual who is highly numerate with proven commercial and analysis skills, with experience of managing revenue assurance and producing forecast reports. Ideally you’ll be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and have experience from a financial/commercial environment with a good working knowledge of wholesale tariff structures and billing processes.

Using your ability to interpret high level documents and translate them into business strategies, you will develop methodologies into business processes which will help identify Anglian Water as a market leader in the non-household market. We’re not just looking for numerical skills, we’re also looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, with an inquisitive mind to find out how and why things are the way they are and how we can build upon this to exploit new ways of working. You’ll need to be a self-starter and possess strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the growing business.
