Investigate and prevent cyber attacks.

This is your chance to be on the front line of protecting GCHQ and government assets from foreign intelligence services and emerging cyber threat actors. Join our team of cyber security, incident and threat specialists and you will triage and manage all intrusions, threats and incidents, ensuring that government assets are available and protected.

You will triage alerts from numerous types of IT security controls. This will involve investigating alerts relating to actual or suspected security incidents, escalating via the appropriate incident management process when required. You will also improve intrusion detection capability by staying up to date with the latest cyber attack techniques, reducing false positive alerts.

You’ll come to us with a keen interest in the latest technology, particularly security technologies, together with a wide awareness of cyber security across government and industry. Familiar with our customers’ needs and the delivery of bespoke services, you will have good communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment. Above all, you’ll be keen to develop personally and help others to do the same.
