This incredible salary rise comes as the Chinese job market continues to boom thanks to the countries continued economic growth. The report highlights that key job titles in IT will be rewarded with the highest level of pay rise. These include:

Those with skills in data mining, cloud computing and virtualisation are also likely to see hefty increases to their salaries in the coming year.

Obviously the huge cultural and language differences remain a big barrier to taking the leap half way round the world. however, those with both English and Chinese language skills will find their CVs rise to the top of the pile.

The Chinese government is going further to help welcome international IT professionals as they are in the process of implementing a new “Exit and Entry Admission” Law that will come in to place in July meaning that there will soon be 5 year multi-entry visas available.

However, With the influx of foreign IT professionals expected, Chinese business are focusing on localisation rather than globalisation and expecting all employees to take on local contracts and local hires. There are further warnings that also come alongside the report that these salary forecasts are based on current growth that may not be growing for much longer.
