Common Routes in to Project Management Jobs

Project Management is a very varied career and so there are several routes in to becoming a Project Manager. The choice of which route you take is usually determined by your education path so far and the industry in which you are hoping to enter.

It is common nowadays to complete a Project Management degree and go from there in to a junior or Project Management assistant role, progressing from there in to Project Manager jobs.

Other routes include taking the Prince2 qualification (usually after building up some kind of industry knowledge) and moving across to a Project Management position.
