About the Team:

Working within the Data Networks domain, Data Access Performance and Analytics design team is responsible for the technical design and test of Big Data Network Analytics, Video and Web Optimisation, DPI, Policy Control, Charging and SMIP platforms within the TUK network.

The team`s aim is to ensure these platforms are designed and tested to provide our customers with world class services and user experience at the most effective cost to the business.

Your Role:

To be a technical design authority for performance and analytics within the Data Access team, and to provide the networks with valuable insights on network performance. This will require management of existing performance and analytics platforms as well as designing and building new capabilities and platforms to help identify any potential quality issues on both network and customer level.

Responsibilities:

The Data Performance and Analytics Designer will be responsible for all the design aspects of the analytics and performance platforms.

Key activities include:

Managing vendors to deliver best in class performance and analytics platform designsDriving changes and improvements to our analytics capabilitiesHolding regular performance reviews with the wider team to identify issues and trendsCapacity modelling for network platformsWorking across the business to translate their requirements into solutionsResponding to analytics and performance queries from other teams;

Skills and Experience:

Experience in managing 3rd parties on the technical levelProven record of exceptional analytical skillsGood knowledge of end to end mobile data network architecture, interfaces and protocols, starting from devices, ending on the internet accessFamiliar with Big Data architectureExperience in Unix and Hadoop environmentsExperience in writing map-reduce queries/programs using hive, python and/or javaExperience with network performance monitoring tools and protocolsGrade:PCGU
