We're GCHQ, the UK's intelligence, cyber and security agency. Working closely with our partners in the intelligence community, we protect the nation's people, interests and businesses from threats including serious and organised crime, terrorism, and cyber-attacks. It's varied, meaningful work that you won't find anywhere else.

Now, you have the opportunity to join us in our mission. As part of one of our technical teams, you'll learn new skills, develop your abilities, and apply your knowledge to projects unique to our organisation. Your insights will be valued and your ideas encouraged as we work together to protect the UK in the real world and online.

Some of the roles we'll be recruiting for include:

Cyber Security Development Programme - Over two years, you'll explore the cyber security landscape through placements within the business, receive extensive support and formal training, and ultimately apply to an information security role with the organisation.

Senior and Lead Software Engineers - Using a range of software engineering methods, languages and frameworks, you'll lead a team solving mission problems while making strategic contributions and ensuring best practice.

Software Engineers and Junior Software Engineers - You'll join an Agile team tackling real-world problems with a variety of software engineering technologies including JavaScript, Java, C++, Node, Python, Rust, Go and .NET.

Infrastructure Engineer

You'll work on unique and exciting projects, finding solutions and developing new capabilities across hardware, software and cloud platforms.

Weapons Systems Analyst

You'll conduct technical data analysis to understand foreign weapon capabilities and technologies, using your knowledge to inform UK defence planning.

Industrial Systems Technical Analyst - Using analytical techniques and your own technical knowledge to solve intriguing problems, you'll gain valuable insights that inform government decisions.

Whether you're just starting out in your career or looking to apply your expertise to new projects, we're looking for self-motivated problem-solvers with a genuine passion for technology. At GCHQ, you won't just work to understand the ins and outs of tech. With the support of our tailored training, you'll push your inquisitive mind. Plus, with our smart working patterns, you can carry on living your life in a way that suits you.

We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under-represented in our workforce.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a British Citizen.
