Our client CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme), is a Supply Chain Risk Management business and one of the founders of third party accreditation, a trusted advisor on H&S compliance, setting industry benchmarks, providing assurance and reassurance, and offering best-in-class services that are easy to use and cost effective. With it’s ambitions to grow, CHAS aims to develop into a business that continues to be service orientated, but one that is founded upon a technology platform that is agile, dynamic and scalable. To that end, it needs to further develop the technology strategy that is contemporary, data centric and puts the customers (contractors and clients) at the forefront of its thinking in terms of platform usability and service offering.

The role

CHAS is looking to hire a Head of Systems Development to establish, develop and provide technical leadership to the CHAS systems development team, be able to develop leading edge applications to drive and support the ambitious growth plans of CHAS. You will not only assist in the technical development and provision of new products and services in the current markets that CHAS operates in, but also support business expansion into new markets and territories, whilst ensuring the availability of the back-office IT services supporting CHAS’ day to day operations.

The person

You must be used to working in a fast-paced environment as well as being a technically hands-on individual familiar with delivering cutting edge solutions to SME and startup businesses that are reliant upon an online technology platform to deliver its products and services. With in-depth experience of developing Microsoft Dynamics CRM, practical experience of software development, including .NET and/or Java technologies, familiarity of developing within the Microsoft cloud technology stack, i.e. Azure, Dynamics 365, WebAPI, O365, Sharepoint Online, Power BI, SQL Server, etc, and commercial experience of establishing, managing, motivating and mentoring a high performing technical team
