SCRUM MASTER

BASED EDINBURGH/HOME SALARY EXCELLENT AND GREAT BENEFITS PACKAGE

Have you ever wanted to work for a company doing something truly incredible, disruptive and working for the greater good of planet Earth? Well, here is your chance. Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) was founded in 2013 and has brought together decades of farming and engineering experience to create an Agritech business with a vision to revolutionise the indoor growing market. Employing over 100 staff, IGS is now in full scale up mode with an ambitious and aggressive recruitment plan to help fuel their commercial growth.

Do you want to help others grow their skills? Do you want to be involved in a small business delivering product on a global stage? Are you an agilista with a passionate desire to see value delivered to users? Now we need Scrum Masters to support our growth and develop our software engineers. Are you interested in changing the face of farming so that we can feed the world?

Who are you:

You are a great scrum master that deeply understands the value of what you do and can help others be their best selves. You will be a champion of Agile thinking throughout the business, helping to break down silos and get people to focus on short iterations of value and quality. You are a dynamic and driven servant leader owning our scrum outcomes and the process that gets us there. You are organised and are well prepared for scrum ceremonies. You seek the autonomy to do the right thing and make changes that enhance user and developer experience. You will have a good understanding of motivation and be able to strike the right balance between fun and focus. You are all that and you are a real person too, one that remembers that we all are, displaying kindness, patience and decency.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all scrum ceremonies for your team(s).
  • Take part in scrum of scrums with other scrum masters.
  • Use experimentation and empirical evidence to remove waste, increase velocity and focus on quality.
  • Generate Actionable Metrics and Stats.
  • Manage Scrum at scale (e.g. LESS) across multiple teams.
  • Work with other business leaders across the company to promote Agile thinking.
  • Help drive changes in behaviour that allow people to empower themselves and own the outcomes.

Ideally educated to Degree calibre, we are looking for an experienced expert in Scrum with in-depth Agile and Scrum knowledge. You are likely to come from a technical or software background into scrum mastery for software teams. You like to nurture, support, listen and develop people and teams. Ideally you have a Scrum Master qualification.

This represents an incredible opportunity to “give something back” and be part of a culture that believes in genuine teamwork, sustaining excellence, values courageous honesty, wants people to feel good and enjoys seeing their people and the business win. An excellent base salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package (including 35 days leave, private health care and solid pension) complete with training and self development grants and flexible working solutions.
