You’ll influence the lives of millions:

Do you want to play your part in shaping the technology that underpins everything we do to keep London moving? From mission critical systems that govern the movement of trains, digital information systems at bus stops, tube stations or online, or Payment systems across London, technology has become the driver of all aspects of our business. The Business Analysis Team within the Technology & Data department plays a key role in delivering transformation to systems and processes across Transport for London.

Apply your expertise in a dynamic team

As part of the team, you’ll be working with stakeholders from all parts of the business, helping them define and solve business problems. You’ll be able to cut through the noise and quickly make sense of complex issues, offering insightful analysis and recommendations which influence the lives of millions. You’ll be comfortable working with our technology delivery teams to ensure customer and stakeholder needs are at the core of our decision making and you’ll help us to deliver our aim of becoming an example of public service excellence in the technology and data domain.

You’ll also be part of a successful Business Analysis team, working together, sharing knowledge and experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you’ll need

In order to be successful, you will be skilled in eliciting and documenting business processes and requirements with proven experience working throughout the technology project lifecycle in Agile and Waterfall environments. With technology development and procurement projects touching every part of TfL you’ll get to use every bit of your expertise, and in the process will have the opportunity to grow and develop further.

You’ll be passionate about problem solving and continuous improvement, applying your understanding of Business Analysis techniques and attention to detail to produce business requirements and process documentation, feasibility studies and options analysis. You’ll use your influencing skills and ability to communicate effectively, via multiple channels, to work with stakeholders across the business.

Salary and Benefits

In return for your expertise, along with being excited at the thought of being able to help make London the ultimate technologically smart city, we can offer an excellent benefits package including final salary pension scheme and a generous holiday entitlement of 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and flexible working. You can make significant savings on travel thanks to a free Oyster Card travel pass; 75% discount on national rail season ticket and interest free loan; and discounted travel on the Eurostar. You can also choose to take advantage of a discounted private healthcare scheme, tax-efficient childcare payments, and a host of retail, health, leisure and travel offers.
