 The Role

We are committed to putting customers at the heart of all our IT design and we'll expect you to do the same. Championing collaborative working, you will lead the development and implementation of a series of complex, high-profile, digital projects across our two councils. Heading up a team of IT professionals, you will ensure that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained. This includes the management of resources, revenue, capital costs and stakeholder relationships.  You will also coach and mentor the project team and ensure a smooth handover of completed projects to the business.

About You

You'll be an experienced IT professional with track-record of managing complex projects in fast-paced delivery environments. This should include familiarity with agile/lean development environments, in which you will have worked as a scrum master. You will have a full grasp of customer-centric digital services and knowledge of developing user-centred designs. Familiarity with the local or central government environment would be helpful, including exposure to the Local Government Digital Service Standard (LGDSS).
