I am currently working with a large, international banking and investment company who are looking for a well experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer.

Company profile:

The client I am currently working with focus in the investment and banking industry and provide long term financial stability for their clients. They have foothold in multiple areas in SA including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban. They also work internationally and have footholds in the US, UK and multiple European countries.

They have a very diverse clientele and therefore working in multiple industries is beneficial for the role. You will meet a range of different people from many different walks of life which will give you a range of experience.

The role:

DevOps Engineers have a very diverse skill set. You will be working within multiple areas of the IT department ranging from Server Engineering to high end software development. You'll work on software testing on both automation and manual.

You will liaise with different departments such as software development teams, Infrastructure teams, web developments teams and department managers. Working in a DevOps position you are one of the key members of the team and will be involved in almost every aspect of each project for the full project life cycle. You will be able to watch the project grow from start up all the way to implementation and post project support.

Requirements:

* Experience with multiple development tools both Microsoft and Opersource

* Infrastructure experience 5+ years

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Experience within a DevOps environment is beneficial but not compulsory.

* Support experience (software or infrastructure)

* Wintel exposure

* Cloud experience is also beneficial but not compulsory (Azure/AWS/GCP)

* Degree within a relevant IT discipline is beneficial.
