Network and Security Engineer - we are looking to recruit x 2 experienced Network Engineers, to join one of the UK's fastest growing and established specialist finance services providers. Based in the company office in Leeds, you will play a critical role in supporting and delivering the company digital transformation process from a networking perspective. You will support current and future architecture, working with the MSP's and various strategic functions on delivering the next generation of network architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Providing support to implement and administer Lan, Wan, Wlan, Gans, VoIP and Cloud architecture; Perimeter security systems such as Firewalls and IDS/IPS.

* Providing environments to support end to end and System Integration Testing

* Working with the Infrastructure Architecture team to build and transition services from Project to Operational management.

* To ensure incident/requests are dealt with quickly, ensure networks recoverable, monitored and maintained to ensure maximum availability.

* Take ownership of specific issues and take action required to resolve these to agreed deadlines and positive responses, including Network patches and security updates

* To own the network ensuring proper controls in place for access rights and permissions. Adhere to managed controls for adding new users to the environments.

* Responsible for all routine tasks associated with operating and controlling the installed hardware and software. This may include multiple hardware or software platforms. Use standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system backups, restoring data and config's where necessary.

* Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks

* Some out of hours support may also be required

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Delivery & customer focused individual, flexible and adaptable

* Proficient in Network configuration and administration, particularly with Cisco technologies

* Proficient with network protocols and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.

* Proficient in Automation, build, packaging and release tooling; building and supporting cloud enviroments

* Working knowledge of security devices, ability to learn new technologies on the job.

* Working knowledge of Iaas, PaaS, SaaS and Cloud technologies.
