Divisional Trade Control and Compliance manager - £73,000 + car + health + benefits, FTSE 100 Engineering Organisation.

I am looking to recruit a Trade Control and Compliance Manager on behalf of FTSE 100 Engineering Organization and market leader within a number of industries across the globe.

The successful Trade Control and Compliance Manager will be responsible for carrying out or overseeing appropriate individuals in the execution of trade control compliance policy and procedures.

Main Tasks:

* Trade Control Policy development, review and delivery of compliance programme (inc. ITAR and EAR).

* Trade Control corporate training development and delivery (inc. ITAR and EAR).

* Trade control for travel for Land Sector.

* Licence review and assessment against requirements. Delivery of a compliant licence programme for all services provided.

* Responsibility for obtaining and managing any export licences required by their respective Business Units and ensuring all licences should be valid and up to date

* Vetting all tangible exports and checking the licence determination is correct.

* Providing access to expert advice on Trade Control laws, which will include liaising with external specialist services.

* Where appropriate, being the main point of contact with the relevant national agencies for Trade Control laws.

* Support for Bid and Commercial activities relating to Trade Control and movement activities.

* Development of a compliance regime for HR including Trade Control (inc. ITAR) and general compliance training for new starters.

* Integration of a compliance regime into procurement.

* Capability assessment on external suppliers on Trade Control

* Licence holder for Explosives, Firearms and Section 5 plus programme support.

* Monitoring of international trade activities internal and external stakeholders.

* Develop and integration of control on Taxes and Duties incurred.

* Representation of Land Sector Trade Control to group steering committee.

* Design and develop and deliver training media for all staff on all aspects of Trade Control especially the shipping team.

* Review and resolve historic Trade Control activities which are not compliant in all areas.

* Identify risk and report all areas of shortfall relating to Trade Control.

* Integration of legal requirements into operational guidance in relation to Trade Control.

* Build and maintain process maps relating to all Trade Control activity.

Experience and Qualifications

* Degree level education or equivalent

* Knowledge of US Export & Re-export Controls

* Knowledge of UK Export Controls

* Ability to understand requirements of each export licence

* Experience in communicating with external agencies on legal matters

* Knowledge of EU classification rules (HTS / export control)

* Knowledge of EU Import Regulations and Rules of Origin

* Hazardous goods and explosives knowledge
