Job Title: Software/ Research Engineers

Location: Bristol, UK

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

My key client in Bristol is looking to hire 2x Software /Research Engineers to join the Research and Development engineering team.

You're Role:

You will be responsible the design, documentation, implementation and testing of the Company's proprietary software for capturing, reconstructing and analysing RF data. While primarily engaged in new development the Software Engineer will also contribute to system maintenance and R&D.

Responsibilities:

*R&D on the proprietary imaging algorithms

* Designing and testing user facing software to the high industries standards

*Writing maintainable, efficient code to support the company's hardware system.

*Generating design documentation, including product/test specifications and validation reports within the quality standards specified for regulatory approval

*Assessing technologies to improve/extend the Company's software engineering capability

*Making contributions to R&D resulting in novel functionality and new product offerings

*Refactoring and documenting the Company's legacy code base

*Support the deployment and configuration of deployed systems, including the Company's own clinical trials

Skills required:

*MATLAB code to C++ and C#

*Excellent design skills (UI, algorithmic and code)

*DSP research to improve imaging algorithms

*Windows development using Visual Studio (C# and/or C++)

*Test driven development

*Operating in an Agile team

*A degree in either computer vision, embedded systems or Physics and Maths

Desired:

*Software architecture experience

*Designing and testing user facing software to the high industries standards experience

*Using Git for version control and the git flow framework

*Experience working in a regulated commercial environment (medical, aviation, automotive) including traceability requirements and risk management

*Cloud Technologies and Security (Azure/AWS, REST etc)

*3D Graphics (VTK, OpenGL, DirectX etc)

*Prototyping with MATLAB, Python, R etc

*Databases (SQL Server, Distributed)

*Radiological data technologies (DICOM, PACS, RIS)

*Numerical analysis proficiency - statistics and/or signal processing

*Familiarity with DSP, statistical pattern recognition and data mining techniques

*Image processing/computer vision R&D experience as it relates to DSP
