My client, an international Insurance organisation are looking to recruit a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join their growing digital technology team in the heart of London. The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the identification, design, and implementation of new infrastructure solutions across the organisation. You will be applying broad hands-on experience to multiple environments across public and private cloud estates.
The Infrastructure Architect will drive the design and will build the range of environments required to support new and ongoing projects within the Global Digital Technology Group.
Responsibilities
* Gathering functional and non-functional requirements
* Producing high-level infrastructure designs
* Producing low-level implementation plans and associated documentation
* Hands-on implementation where appropriate
* Defining monitoring solutions
Experience
* 5+ years in digital technology, or hosted website technologies.
* Solid knowledge and experience of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS and associated network and storage patterns.
* Broad technical experience with at least one Enterprise software stack, e.g. J2EE, .NET, with an in-depth understanding of application development & design, system integration, infrastructure and operations.
* Hands-on knowledge and experience of Linux and Windows operating systems.
* Hands-on knowledge and experience of IP-based networking, including VPN implementations.
* Hands-on knowledge and experience of basic security entities such as SSL certificates.
