JavaScript Applications Developer - Sheffield - Up to £35,000 - Bonus Eligible, Extensive Benefits and Remote Working Opportunities…
My client is looking for a talented JavaScript Developer to come in and work with the development team on complex aviation software roll outs. The role itself offers the opportunity to work remotely in some capacity although you will be expected in the office on a weekly basis.
They are looking for a flexible and versatile JavaScript Developer to join their growing team: a natural problem solver who wants to make a difference every time they step into the office. This is a mid-weight position but they are also flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
*Create and building solutions using JavaScript
*Scope: gather requirements, come up with creative technical solutions, write functional specifications
*Pitch: help our client partners develop proposals/costs, attend pitches
*Contribute: further our coding standards, technical strategy and R&D, contribute back to the JavaScript community
To be Considered:
*Code in JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, CSS
*Use of frameworks such as Angular/React/Node/Knockout/Backbone
*Write clean, efficient and readable code
*Be experienced in Commercial Development
*Write efficient MySQL queries without the support of frameworks or CMS
*Have used version control software such as Mercurial and Git
*Have experience with Linux/Unix command line environment
*Have integrated with third party APIs such as Salesforce, CiviCRM, ThankQ
*Be passionate about coding quality and meeting standards
*Be able to communicate technical aspects to non-technical people
*Be able to write functional specifications
*Be considerate of time and budget allocations
It would be an advantage to also:
*Knowledge of UX Design
*Have knowledge of concepts used in PHP frameworks (such as Symfony, Zend, etc) and MVC, database abstraction layers etc.
*Be able to manage servers including Ansible or Nginx
