Role: IT Security Consultant

Location: Dublin

Duration; 6 months

Rate: DOE

A global client in Dublin is seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant to join their team for a 6-9 month contract. This contract will require the IT Security Consultant to communicate and collaborate across the Infrastructure, Applications, Pen Testing and Project Management functions within the business. There is a high chance of extension for this contract.

Key responsibilities:

- identify all relevant IT Security components

- identify all relevant IT Security standards and guidelines

- identify all designed & required controls

- identify and document where the design introduces risk to the company or compounds an existing risk

- ensure that the documented solution provides appropriate controls which are aligned to the business's control requirements for the data assets being protected

- document and agree gaps and recommendations

Skills & Experience:

- CISSP, CISM or recognised equivalent.

- Good technical knowledge across a variety of platforms

- Good technical knowledge of network protocols and related technologies

- Experience across a number of relevant IT disciplines

- Strong knowledge of IT Security best practice

- 3rd Level qualification in IT or equivalent experience is preferred

- Some knowledge of information security and risk control frameworks such as COBiT, ISO 27001, ISO 27002

This is an immediate requirement with scope for a 2nd contract requirement within a few months. All applicants must have either an EU Passport or a Stamp 4 Visa in order to be considered for this contract.
