Role: IT Security Engineer

Duration: 12 month daily rate

Location: Dublin

Daily Rate: DOE

A growing business in Dublin is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer for a 12 month contract. You will be required to review incident alerts from IDS/IPS and follow flagged issues through to close. The contractor must be capable around troubleshooting networks and have an understanding of packet captures and log files in order to identify root causes of security incidents.

Required skills:

* Ethical Hacking: Nessus scanning and policies

* Web App & API Pen Testing experience

* Must have familiarity with industry information security requirements and standards

* Working knowledge of best practices for incident response

* Network architectures

* Current networking technologies

* Security requirements and features of networks and applications

* Intrusion Detection System (IDS) experience

* Excellent communication skills

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience

* GCIH or equivalent incident response certification

* Experience & preferably with certification in Ethical hacking across networks, applications, mobile and APIs.

This is a really interesting contract position for an IT Security Engineer looking to expand on their IDS, Ethical Hacking and Network Security capability. Initially this daily rate contract is 12 months long with a view for extension beyond that point.
