Contract Java Developer - Java, Spring, JPA

6 Month Contract (Likely extension)

A contract Java Developer is required to join our client based in Crawley (just South of London). The Java developer will take a leading role in the design, implementation and quality assurance, working closely with enterprise architects to create a scalable, robust and highly available distributed product based on Microservice architecture.

The Java developer will be required to communicated with business analysts and various other stakeholders to translate requirements into tangible features, overseeing strong collaboration to deliver robust software into complex enterprise environments

Experience mentoring junior members in the team and playing the role of Scrum Master in a previous contract would be an added benefit for the Java developer.

Java Developer Required Experience

* Experience using Java (Ideally Java 8)

* Working with Java Spring framework (Spring Integration, Spring Boot)

* Working with JPA (Hibernate)

* Experience working with JavaScript and related frameworks (e.g. Node.js)

* RESTful Web services API

* Experience working with Oracle

* Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban, TDD etc.)

* Working with Continuous Integration and Automated Deployment (CI)

Java Developer Required Skills

* Java (Java 8)

* Java Spring (Spring Integration, Spring Boot)

* JPA (Hibernate)

* JavaScript / Node.js

* RESTful web Services (Rest)

* Oracle

* Jenkins

* Agile (Scrum, Kanban)

* Test driven development (TDD, JUnit)
