Full Stack Java Developer - Consultancy Canary Wharf

Amazing opportunity for a Full Stack Java developer to join a boutique consultancy based in Canary Wharf in Central London, working with two Tier 1 Investment Banks. The successful Full Stack Java developer will be to join a systems integration team. This is a hybrid role defining & building extraction rules within a full stack Java development environment, developing across the server-side and front end.

You will have the opportunity to learn one of the most successful investment banking methodologies from a well-known, heavy hitting, 25-man boutique consultancy. Our client has grown very quickly over the past two years and have ambitious plans for the future. They have a 3-year strategic plan for the project, and the successful Java developer will be renewing the contract indefinitely.

We are looking for a Java developer who is keen to work in an environment where they can be involved in projects that directly influence the success of the company, where they can feel valued (our client are not a body shop) and have lots of opportunity to learn.

KEY SKILLS for the Junior Java developer:

* Java

* Spring

* Hibernate

* J2EE - JSF, EJB, Servlet API, JSP, JTA, JPA, JAAS

* XML

* Experience with at least two application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, mySQL server, Oracle server, Webserver)

* JavaScript Libraries - jQuery, backbone.js, Angular.js, node.js, react

* HTML5, CSS

* Web Services, REST, WS-*, Camel, ESBs etc

KEY EXPERIENCE for the Junior Java Developer:

* Commercial Java development experience (covering the whole core Java, and J2EE stack: Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON, etc)

* Database experience

* Excellent attention to detail

* Great interpersonal skills

* Experience working in an Agile environment

* Investment Banking experience is desirable but not essential
