Information Management Officer (KIM Analyst) / Exeter / 6 Months Contract / 300 to 400 GBP (Per Day)

The Role

The Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) team is part of Information Management and Assurance (IM&A) with the aim of developing organisational KIM capability to support collaborative and mobile working in a secure environment. The KIM Analyst will be a key member of the Office365 Implementation team supporting the KIM Manager who plays a leading role in engagement and transition. The KIM Analyst will share knowledge of the toolset and its implications for KIM and working practices and be able to work with and support users in preparing for and transitioning to the full Office365 toolset.

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and where a worker elects to provide their services through an intermediary (such as a personal services company) then income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.

Responsibilities:

                     Supporting IAOs and senior managers in preparation for migration of network drives/ fileshare and email to new cloud hosted tools

                     Working with and supporting Office365 Champions and other influencing groups to develop understanding of the tool capabilities and potential benefits and prepare teams for transition to Office365

                     Providing training and awareness sessions on KIM best practice using Office365 tools

                     Organisation-wide communication of KIM best practice using Office365 and how the tools support KIM

                     Draft documentation to capture decisions, discussions and lessons learned

                     Engage and contribute to articulating benefits realisation

                     Participate in troubleshooting and "floorwalking" support for Early Adopters as part of phased roll-out

The Client

The Met Office is a Trading Fund within the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, operating on a commercial basis under set targets. As the UK's National Weather Service it provides a range of weather and climate services to a large number of public and private sector organisations.It also represents the UK within the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and plays a prominent role in international meteorology. All contractor roles will be required to obtain a full national security status, either Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Security Clearance (SC). Listed below are the two main essential criteria for candidates requiring clearance and you must meet these criteria to be eligible to apply:-

1) To have resided in the UK for a minimum of two out of the last five years at one address or three out of the last five in the UK. Therefore, if the role is one that requires SC clearance and the candidate does not have the required UK residency, then it is unlikely that the candidate will be suitable to be considered for the role.

2) If candidates have resided overseas for a short period of time but are still eligible for SC clearance, then a police certificate may be requested from FCOS which the candidate will have to obtain themselves. This is just to show they have not had any criminal record whilst living abroad so the certificate must cover the whole period of this time.The candidate will be required to supply employment/education information within the last three years - any gaps during that time will be analysed.Please provide your Nationality on any CV submissions.
