IT Support Engineer for people focused private equity business in Portbury, Bristol

The Role:

As IT Support Engineer, you will support site infrastructure / software applications ensuring systems operate efficiently, including network / hardware / shop floor hardware / production software / mobile & integrated telephony / networked printers / security systems. Responsibilities include:

* diagnosing / resolving IT issues for end users on site / remotely / in offices

* working with systems developer to create SSRS reports / carry out SQL system tasks

* writing user guides / IT documentation to assist users

* liaison with third party suppliers to assist with improvements / implement new systems

* installation / configuration of new hardware / software

* conduct user training / research & recommend IT solutions for new business requirements

The Person

As IT Support Engineer, you will have a relevant IT qualification and/or experience in a similar role within an industrial environment. Key knowledge and skills required are:

* Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10 desktop environments / mobile technology / iOS solutions

* Server 2012 infrastructure and active directory, AD and DNS

* hardware & infrastructure / knowledge of SQL SSRS report creation

* network security principles
