A financial services technology team based in Bath have opened up a new spot for a Web Developer in their awesome team - they currently have 40 staff in Bath, 32 of which are Developers, ranging from Junior Developers, Senior Developers, Tech Leads and Development Managers! However, they do operate quite a flat structure and you can progress within the business quickly, both from a responsibility and salary perspective - they look after their people very well and have an extremely low turnover rate.
They have a great culture in the business - they hold technology as paramount to success and work together as a team to minimise mistakes and improve efficiency as regularly as possible, you'll have a Development Manager who will help you get up a high performance level quickly and improve your coding ability and approach to problem solving, as well as enjoying multiple social events with the business like curry nights, bowling, end of year parties and more!
This is a position of high importance to the business, as the software systems you'll be helping to develop are being used by stockbrokers in the London & New York Stock Exchanges.
Technology wise, it's important you bring programming experience to the business in the below areas:
C#
ASP.NET MVC
SQL Server
Any experience with the below technologies is useful, but if not they will work with you to get you up to speed
ASP.NET Web API / RestFul API
Entity Framework or similar ORMs
AngularJS or similar JavaScript Libraries
N-Service Bus
Continious Delivery / Octopus Deploy
Git / Bitbucket
Jira
SQR
SignalR
The salary for this Web Developer role is between £30,000 to £35,000 + 25 days holiday, 10% non-contribution pension, uncapped bonuses, private medical care, breakfast and lunches paid for, cycle to work scheme, share option scheme up to £500 per month.
