Principal Engineer - Network and Security - to 65k+package

You will join a forward-thinking Global Technology Organisation, providing products, solutions, and managed services to a wide range of customers across the UK and Internationally.

Principal Network and Security Engineer (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper etc.); a highly experienced engineer from a network security background looking for the scope to develop your career as a part of a global organisation.

You will use your network security experience to provide team leadership in the delivery of Firewall and Intrusion Detection/Prevention services (IDS/IPS) working with a a team of engineers across the organisation.

Working within an Integrated Security Operations Centre (SOC), you work during core hours, to provide leadership and maintain technical standards within the Network Security team to ensure delivery of 24/7/365 IT security services to a range of clients.

You will be responsible for

* Providing design, review, consulting and advisory services to major company projects

* Managing escalations and ensuring the integrity of client IT infrastructures,

* Protecting corresponding information systems from internal and external infiltration, attack or compromise.

* Liaise with stakeholders, customers and executives to provide accurate reporting of security incidents and potential threats.

Skills and Experience

* 5+ years experience in IT Network Security or IP Networking,

* Demonstrated proficiency with a range of firewalls, predominantly

* Checkpoint

* Palo Alto

* Fortigate

* Juniper

* Cisco ASA

Salary and Benefits

This company is looking to pay a minimum of £55,000 basic salary, and up to £65,000 for excellent candidates. The role requires core working hours, and on call allowances are provided as part of your package along with excellent company bonus, benefits and pension.

The company will provide flexible working hours or details of relocation packages on a case by case basis.

This role is perfect for someone with a demonstrated interest in the security industry and has insights into global cybersecurity threats and trends. This is a non-static position and there is exciting scope for development across divisions and into executive level position.
