Windows Support Technician

Our innovative and leading edge manufacturing client, who have experienced genuine growth in recent years are looking for a Windows Support Technician to join their team based near Canterbury, on a permanent basis. The Windows Support Technician will be well versed with the setup of hardware, management of Active Directory as well as responding to phone/office suite issues. Ideally, the Windows Support Technician will be MCSA qualified and have previous manufacturing industry experience.

Windows Support Technician - Key Skills & Responsibilities:

* Setting up new hardware (laptops, PC's, printers etc)

* Manage Active Directory (add new users, update security settings, unlock user accounts etc)

* Able to respond to day to day Phone issues, Office suite issues/help requests etc

* Scheduled backups and maintenance tasks

* MCSA qualified

* Good understanding of Microsoft Domain infrastructure

* Sound networking skills

* Good understanding of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10

* A thorough understanding of Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012 and later

* Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 or higher or Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008R2 or higher setup and configuration

* POP/SMTP Email setup

* Microsoft Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services

* Learn and perform AS400 admin procedures (monitor memory usage, monitor disk usage, monitor SAN failures, monitor CPU usage etc) - Nice to have, not essential

* Manufacturing experience - Nice to have, not essential

* Manage Infor XA requests and work with the business to ensure efficiency of the ERP system/Any ERP System Knowledge - Nice to have, not essential
