Our defence client are currently looking for an experienced SC cleared Cloud Services Architect to work on an initial 9 month contract at their site in Birmingham.

Applicants must have the following skills:

*Specialist to sufficiently evaluate and recommend cloud approaches that can deliver secure application capabilities to organisations both inside and outside of the business

*Specialist to assist the business to evolve their internal ways of working to exploit the benefits of the cloud that is consistent with how the Cloud is used in UK Government

*Capability to Mentor and up-skill key staff in areas of the public cloud to a level where those staff can competently design and assure cloud-based software deployments.

*Experience in developing appropriate reference architectures for projects using the cloud.

*Capability of Supplier to identify suitable common services and to advise how these can be used to deliver open, vendor-agnostic platforms.

*Capability of Supplier to develop an appropriate ALM, tools and techniques strategy for both in-house and externally contracted software development release pipelines within MOD network domain restrictions

*Applicability of roadmap and resource profile to meet business outcomes

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
