Commercial Officer - Government - Manchester - SC cleared

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial officer to join a government organisation and support the overall provision of a commercial service to the government agency in accordance with departmental and organisational targets by undertaking a range of commercial activity.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Certificate of Competence (Level 4) or equivalent qualification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A proven procurement background, preferably in the public sector.

Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.

Experience of effectively working as part of a team.

Proven experience of administration, customer or service delivery.

A good understanding of information management.

Basic awareness of legislation affecting activity.

Excellent interpersonal or customer service skills.

Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Written/drafting skills.

Analytical skills/data interpretation skills.

Organisational, administrative skills.

SC clearance will be required in order to carry out this position
