Back End Developer

6 month contract

£300 - £400 per day

Pearson Frank are currently working in partnership with a Global Consultancy who are searching for an experienced Back End Developer for a 6 month contract with possible extensions and an immediate start, contract rates on offer are between £300 - £400 per day.

Skills & Experience:

- Java - J2EE:

o Should be able to write programs independently. Good at advanced JE concepts such as Distributed transactional computing, n-tier J2EE architecture, Distributed multitier applications, Java 2 platform, JE components, Container services, Container types, JE servers and Containers & Application deployment architecture. Knowledge in JE APIs such as EJB, JMS, Security, Transaction, JNDI, Connector & WebServices.

- JDBC - Java Database Connectivity:

o Programmer: Should be able to write programs independently. Should have good understanding in following areas - DDL, DML, Joins, Expressions, Operators, Conditions, Functions, Clauses, Sub Queries, Transaction Control, Authorization. good knowledge of various DB objects.

- JSF - JavaServer Faces:

o Programmer: Should be able to write programs independently. Clearly know the Advantages and disadvantages of JSF, Details of installing and configuring JSF, Static and dynamic navigation - Developing application & JSF flow. Good understanding of the Steps in using JSF, Managed beans, JSF Expression Language, Accessing collections, Resource Bundle, JSF Standard Component Tag(h) library and Validating user inputs.

- XML: Programmer:

o Should be able to write programs independently. Should be having1) Strong XML skills with a working knowledge of associated technologies i.e. DOM, SAX,DTD, understanding of OO/OOAD 2) Good exposure on developing application using XSL/XSLT/XPointer/XPATH 3) Should have working knowledge on XSL-FO 4) Should be able to debug the XML applications and develop the test case test suits.

- Web Services:

o Programmer: Should be able to write programs independently in Webservices applications. Should have experience with one of the Web Service Engines such as Axis, Web Services

implementations in popular Application Servers such as Weblogic, Websphere Application Servers, Jboss, etc.. Should be able to understand and implement more Complex Web Services. Should be aware of Marshalling and Unmarshalling principles.

- Web 2.0:

o Programmer: Should be able to write programs independently. Should have hands-on experience in AJAX, RIA, Mashups, RSS feeds, Weblog HTML, XHTML. Experience in Photoshop/Flash techniques to produce good user interface. Should know how to write and execute unit test cases

- HTML:

o Should be aware of fundamentals in following areas. Understanding on Markup Language like HTML/SGML, able to develop web applications using HTML and Scripts i.e. Write HTML tags to create web pages with text, images, tables and links, Should be able to read the data from database and display on the application. Proficiency in developing application using framesabs. Comfortable in Mosaic, MS Explorer or Netscape or Mozilla and setting up the security configurations. Exposure to HTML editors like coffee cup/WYSIWYG HTML editors or any other editors. Understanding of classes and inheritance as well as the principles of code-reuse in object-oriented programming. Understanding of Internet protocols and security. Should understand what is unit testing (Screen testing, Class testing etc. what to use when)
