Training Coordinator - Administration

My client, a market leading Broadcast/Media organisation, are currently looking for a Training Coordinator on an initial 1 month contract based in Manchester. The training Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring training courses defined in the demand plan are successfully schedules, resourced and coordinated in the most efficient and cost effective way. The Training Coordinator will be part of a professional, customer focused team which ensure which insure the department is efficient and well run.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the effective scheduling and coordination of training courses within a defined portfolio and assisting the Scheduling & Coordination Manager with more complex scheduling decisions or projects. requiring a thorough understanding of the logistical requirements of a training portfolio, including digital delivery.

* Responsible for building excellent relationships with Trainers, Training Managers and others within the company, working closely with them to understand the changing shape of the training portfolio as it adapts to meet business need, and what scheduling and co-ordination support is required

* Contributing to the frequent sharing of information and excellent communication between teams in the wider Operations team throughout agreed processes.

* Identify opportunities for collaboration, ensuring efficient use of resources and work with Scheduling & Coordination Managers and Trainers to optimize resource use and reduce cost whilst still meeting the training need.

* To work with and at times lead on use and maintenance of the scheduling software system and other recording systems and processes. Ensure they are accurate, effective and well maintained.

* Assist with the management of training sites, rooms and coordination of equipment and resources for the company. This includes site coordination services in company training centres and liaising as required with the Technical Services team and other teams external to the company such as Workplace.

Essential experience:

* Experience of working effectively as part of a team with interlinking dependencies, delivering high levels of customer service and with frequent customer service and sharing information through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience of managing conflicting priorities, juggling workload and working to tight deadlines effectively, often under pressure.

* Excellent planning and organising skills with proven ability to manage a changeable workload.

* Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with key colleagues, customers and stakeholders within the company and at times those external to the company.

* Good analytical skills and the ability to take an overview of a portfolio of courses developing creative and effective solutions to business challenges.

* To proactively identify problems and find efficient, creative solutions and apply commercial imperatives to decision making in order to control costs and resources and deliver value for money.

* IT literate with good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and aptitude to learn new systems and applying attention to detail.
