Based in Hampshire this FMCG manufacture produces products that are supplied across the world

In this role the health and safety manager will ensure that environment health and safety risks are kept to a minimum through the effective compliance with EHS policies, procedures and legislation. Also proving the correct training and to maintain develop the EHS management system ensuring it is aligned with legislation and corporate requirements.

The ideal candidate will come from an Environment, health and safety management role and have experience working in a engineering or manufacturing company.

The role:

*Provide advice on environmental health and safety matters within their sphere of knowledge and refer requests for assistance to senior personnel within the department where necessary.

*Investigate accidents, analysing root causes and maintaining all accident records.

*Undertake key health and safety processes such as task risk assessments, area risk assessments and specialised risk assessments and developing safe systems of work as required.

*Develop and deliver health and safety training to encourage safe working practices.

*Maintain the Risk Assessments

*Develop and amend site policies and procedures as required by business needs and changing legislation.

*Undertake health and safety Inspections and Audits as part of an audit team and complete detailed reports as required.

The person:

*Experience as an environmental health and safety manager.

*Come from a manufacturing or engineering background.
