IT Product Developer - Windows / Linux/ VMware / Scripting

A well rounded IT Support engineer with experience in Windows with some exposure to Linux whether it be personal or commercial use. The most important part of the role is to have some experience using scripting languages to automate applications or processes thus improving the functionality or changing the functionality of products for external clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate IT professional who is seeking a challenging role with lots of learn, to join an enthusiastic team working with the latest releases in technology.

About the role:

* The IT Product Developer is required to improve products offering by using available tools (scripting, VMware, Linux, windows)

* Be proactive with new technologies and innovative with new processes to help improve the product offering to meet client demand

* Automation or changes to existing products for clients

Following skills would be ideal but are not essential to your application:

* Knowledge or Windows Server / Linux (Redhat/Centos/Fedora/Ubuntu/Debian/Mint/Suse)

* Knowledge of Networking (IP Addressing, Telephony, Unified communications, Routing, Switching)

* Exposure to Virtualisation (VMware, Citrix, Hyper V)

* Knowledge of databases SQL/MySQL (Querying/Scripting/Database Installation)

* Experience of scripting in open source languages or windows (Powershell, Shell, PHP, Perl, Bash)

* Knowledge of webservers

About You:

As the it Product Developer you will have some experience of working within a support or development environment supporting at least some of the technology above at a 1st/2nd line level. You need to have a passion for IT to fit in with this role and team. In order to be successful you will ideally:

* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

* Excellent written and verbal communication

* Previous experience within an IT Support Role with some Linux / Scripting capability
