AWS DevOps Engineer

£575 - £600 per day

One of our key clients are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join the team on a long running programme of work. There is also an excellent opportunity to gain a Security Clearance through this role.

The DevOps team would need to have a broad range of DevOps skills, but focusing on the following key skill areas:

* Terraform

* AWS build - using the following services - VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, SES, Route 53, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, IAM, SNS and SES.

* Linux System Administration

* Docker

* Puppet

Essential:

- Have worked in a senior DevOps role in previous engagements.

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Be able to provide technical mentoring to more junior team members

- Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices

- Experience of containerisation, ideally using Docker and Kubernetes

- Experience of deploying to a public cloud, ideally using AWS

- Experience of automated software configuration, ideally using Puppet or Ansible

- Experience of continuous integration tooling, ideally using Jenkins

- Preference for skills in networking / routing / load balancing and VPN configuration

- Strong linux system administration skills, predominantly in CentOS and RHEL

- Strong scripting skills i.e. Ruby, Bash

- Experience of using automated environment build tooling e.g. Terraform

- Experience of building infrastructure within the AWS cloud

- Familiar with agile delivery
