One of the UK's leading companies are looking for a principal Java engineer to join their expanding team. They're a fantastic organisation who have just moved in to plush new offices ahead of an exciting period of new projects.

Technical expertise with Java and related technologies is a must have. Alongside you need to have worked in strict agile environments participating in daily scrums & sprints. Pair programming experience is also a requirement. You must have done Test Driven Development in the strictest sense. This means you need to have written the test scripts before coding.

With this being a high level role any leading experience will be useful. You will mentor the more junior developers and potentially have line management responsibility. You need to have experience of being able to motivate developers to complete tasks efficiently and inspire creative ways of working. Having the ability to manage people is essential and experience of dealing with a variety of situations that are thrown up when managing people.
