Graduate Software Developer
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000
18 month Contract
This exciting 18 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership project based at a software development company in Buckinghamshire aims to create a new innovative software product that will enable parallelised in-place document OCR conversion for document stores containing millions of documents.
It offers an excellent opportunity to accelerate career progression with great training opportunities and valuable commercial experience.
You will have recently obtained a good Honours degree in a Computer Science or Engineering discipline. You will have excellent technical computer programming and problem solving skills and be up-to-date with current programming methods and practices. You will require good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
Essential skills:
• Technical understanding of:
o Visual Studio
o .Net
o C#
o C++
o Sharepoint
o SQL Server
o Windows File Systems Internal
Desirable skills:
• Background experience with:
o Parallel processing techniques
o Document imaging
o OCR
o PDF
The role includes a £3,000 personal training allowance and enrolment on a management development course.
