As an HP Signature Partner and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, our client is a leading specialist in the provision of managed services solutions for operating internet and enterprise application. They currently manage business and brand critical applications for some of Europe's leading companies including bmi and Christian Aid. Due to their continued success and growth, they are currently looking to recruit a 3rd / 4th Line Support Engineer to join their team.

As a 3rd / 4th Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a highly customer focused IT support service within a mission critical environment.

You will take ownership and provide support to major client infrastructures and maintain high availability through proactive measures. In addition to taking the lead on resolving complex server issues escalated by other internal departments, you will troubleshoot problems on client infrastructure.

Your duties will include:

- Implementing operational procedures, tools and best practice

- Documenting all troubleshooting

- Assisting in the analysis and resolution of problems

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- A proven track record of complex 3rd line troubleshooting

- IT support experience gained within a high availability, mission critical environment

- High level Microsoft Enterprise Server 2003 and 2008 and Active Directory troubleshooting skills

- Good SQL 2005 and 2008 systems administration and troubleshooting experience

- A good working knowledge of TCP/IP

The ideal 3rd / 4th Line Support Engineer will have experience in the following: IIS, Microsoft Clustering, VMware ESX, Exchange 2003, 2007, Cisco, SAN/NAS or ITIL.
